Mahindra BE 6e launched at Rs 18.90 lakh (excluding Chennai)

With the new Heartcore design language, the Mahindra BE 6e has the general shape of a Coupe SUV but looks different from other products on sale

After revolutionizing the Indian SUV market with its ICE lifestyle and aspirational products, Mahindra is making further strides in the electric vehicle segment. Mahindra has just launched the BE 6e in India at the Unlimit India event in Chennai and is about to launch its new Electric Origin SUV range, taking India’s manufacturing prowess to the global stage. When it goes on sale next quarter, you’ll be looking at a price of Rs 18.9 million (excluding taxes). OTR is estimated at 20.36 million (Chennai). Prices for Pack 2 and Pack 3 will be announced at a later date.

The BE 6e and XEV 9e are the first vehicles from Mahindra’s upcoming Electric Origin SUV. These will be based on the dedicated electric platform INGLO. As the name suggests, vehicles based on the INGLO platform will be manufactured in India for the world, making a name for themselves in the global SUV market with world-class products.

Mahindra BE 6e launched

The BE 6e is the smallest of the five Electric Origin SUVs on display at MADE’s UK headquarters in 2022. It’s also the most affordable and has the wildest design. This could be the perfect recipe to become an absolute blockbuster in India and all other targeted global markets. The coupe-SUV design further highlights the BE 6e’s appeal.

The design language of Mahindra Heartcore is very different from others in the market. The wild exterior design is further emphasized by the large C-shaped LED DRL elements at the front and LED signatures at the rear lights. The design is very aerodynamic and has many functional air channels. The most prominent one is on the hood.

Inside, the BE 6e features a cockpit-like split dashboard, a first for a mainstream car launched in India. It’s also loaded with features, as shown in the feature list above. When it comes to performance, the BE 6e is no slouch either. The top version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, which is crazy. Mahindra is yet to announce the pricing of the BE 6e Pack 2 and Pack 3.
