Mahindra BE 6e, XEV 9e can move forward and backward

Mahindra Auto will launch BE 6e and XEV 9e electric SUVs to redefine the electric vehicle industry in India and globally. These are among the most anticipated launches in Indian automotive history. Interesting new details have been leaked ahead of its November 26 launch.

Mahindra Remote Parking – BE 6e, XEV 9e

Mahindra Auto, one of India’s leading car manufacturers, has been promoting its upcoming BE 6e and XEV 9e on social media. These vehicles will be Mahindra’s first to be launched under the Electric Origin SUV sub-brand. These eSUVs will also be the first eSUVs launched by Mahindra to use the INGLO platform.

Not only that, sources told Rushlane that the Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will be the first mainstream cars in India to come with remote parking capabilities. This is an absolute godsend for anyone who is tight on garage parking. Plus, this comes in handy in many parking lots where someone parks too close to your car and the door won’t open.

Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will come with a new key with a dedicated button for remote parking functionality. After using the new key to remotely start the car, users can press the forward or reverse buttons on the key to move the BE 6e and XEV 9e out of or into a parking space. While you’re standing outside, just push a button on the new key and the car will move forward and backward.

The feature will use omnidirectional 360-degree cameras and parking sensors. When operating this function remotely, parking sensors will detect obstacles and command the system to stop immediately. In India, this feature is not seen in mainstream cars and is only available on a few luxury cars. The remote parking feature on the BE 6e and XEV 9e will be an absolutely brilliant feature once it is launched.

What else can we expect?

As can be seen from the spy photos, the BE 6E will have a cockpit-like dashboard with a dual-screen layout. XEV 9e will adopt a three-screen layout. Battery capacity will be up to 80 kWh, and we can also expect single and dual-motor setups.

Mahindra will launch the BE 6e and XEV 9e at the ‘Unlimit India’ event in Chennai on November 26. Apart from remote parking, Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUV is likely to offer more features than the current offering.
