Mahindra continues to strengthen its position in the Indian auto market, up 18.91% year-on-year in February 2025, with total sales of 50,420 units compared to 42,401 units a year-on-year. The brand’s SUV lineup remains a key driver of this growth, with models like the Thar, the Xuv 3XO and the XUV700 all witnessing strong demand.

Scorpio and Scorpio n are still Mahindra bestsellers, with 13,618 sets sold in February 2025. However, this marks a 9.52% price of 9.52% when it sold 15,051 units. Meanwhile, growth for Thar and the newly launched Thar Roxx increased significantly, reaching 9,248 units in February 2025, a 59.12% increase from 5,812 units last year.

The Bolero lineup, a long-time favorite in rural markets, saw a decline of 14.07%, with 8,690 units sold compared to 10,113 units in February 2024. On the other hand, the XUV 3XO, which replaced the XUV300, had a remarkable 86.37% YoY growth, selling 7,861 units in February 2025 compared to 4,218 units last year. The XUV700 also performed well, up 14.08% year-on-year with sales of 7,468 units compared to 6,546 units in February 2024.

Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup is expanding with the newly launched XEV 9E and 6. XEV 9E registered 2,205 units, while BE 6 recorded 991 units. These are wholesale, from companies to dealers. Delivery of these new electric SUVs has not yet begun. However, the XUV400 EV fell by 47.21%, with only 322 units sold in February 2025 compared to 610 last year, reflecting growing competition in the EV sector. Finally, Marazzo, which is still a niche, recorded only 17 units in February 2025, down 66.67% from last year’s 51 units.

Although Mahindra grew 18.91% year-on-year in February 2025, its Moon (MOM) performance dropped slightly by 0.47%, with 50,420 units sold, while 50,659 units sold in January 2025. This marginal dip can be attributed to the lineup of some models, while others cause losses, while others suffer.

Scorpio Range sales fell 11.81%, with 13,618 units sold in February and 15,442 in January. Meanwhile, strong growth in the TAR range grew 22.38%, jumping from 7,557 in January to 9,248 in February. Bolero’s sales remained steady and sold 8,690 units in February, a slight increase of eight units compared to January. The XUV 3XO fell 7.01%, down from 8,454 units in January to 7,861 units in February. Similarly, the XUV700 fell 11.08%, with sales falling from 8,399 units in January to 7,468 units in February.

The XEV 9E’s mom grew an impressive 93.93%, soaring from 1,137 in January to 2,205 in February. 6 also recorded an increase in sales, from 700 in January to 991 in February. The XUV400 EV grew at 11.81%, with 322 units sold in February, up from 288 units in January. Eventually, Marazzo, which had no sales recorded in January, made a comeback, selling 17 units in February.
