Mahindra launches Scorpio Carbon Edition with all-black theme

The price of Mahindra Scorpio n Carbon Edition starts from Rs. Rs 1919 crore (exe showroom). This new version offers exclusively top-of-the-line Z8 and Z8L trim, offering a unique all-black theme for the extra RS. 20,000/ – Overstandard variant.

External and internal enhancements

Scorpio n Carbon Edition stands out for its hidden beauty, with a blackened treatment on the look. Chrome-plated elements such as door handles and around windows have been replaced by glossy black finishes. The 18-inch alloy wheels and roof rails follow the same dark theme. This version is specifically available with a single paint option called “Invisible Black”.

Inside, the cabin continues to paint the subject. The dash, leather seats, roof lining and door trim all feature a pitch-black finish. The carbon version retains the layout of seven seats and carries a feature set of standard Z8 and Z8L trim. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, multiple drive modes, dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker sound system and six airbags.

Powertrain options

Under the hood, the carbon version retains the existing powertrain options for Scorpio. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 203 hp and 2.2-liter diesel engines, generating 175 hp. Both engines can use a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. It is worth noting that the 4WD option is unique to the diesel variant.

Pricing

The price of Scorpio Carbon Edition is between Rs. Rs 1.919 lakh and Rs. Rs 2889 crore, depending on the trim selected, powertrain and transmission. It competes with products like Tata Safari and Harrier Dark Editions.
