Mahindra Thar Roxx 4×4 India price and variants list announced

On the eve of India’s Independence Day, Mahindra launched the 5-door off-road SUV Thar Roxx, with a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-factory) for the base MX1 petrol-MT model. At that time, Mahindra announced the pricing of the Thar Roxx 4×2, which goes up to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-factory). Now, the company has announced the price of the four-wheel drive model of this off-road SUV.

The Thar Roxx 4×4 starts at Rs 18.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.49 lakh (all ex-showroom prices). It gets a single 2.2-litre diesel mHawk diesel engine under its hood that produces 173 bhp of maximum power and 370 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. While the Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in 6 broad trim levels: MX1, MX3, AX3 L, MX5, AX5 L and AX7, the 4×4 model is available in MX5, AX5 L and AX7 L variants. Mahindra Thar Roxx: Exterior, Interiors and Features

On the exterior, the Thar Roxx sports an eye-catching look with a 6-slat grille, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, rugged bumpers and LED headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights. As for colours, the SUV is available in seven colour options including Stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey and Burnt Ochre. All these colours come with a black roof.

In terms of features, the Roxx 4×4 gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.25-inch full instrument cluster. Apart from this, there is a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a 6-way power driver seat. Ventilated front seats, automatic temperature control, a 360-degree camera, 4WD mode, push-button start, Level 2 ADAS, CrawlSmart Assist, Intelliturn, and a 4XPLOR system with terrain modes (snow, sand, and mud) are also part of it.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Market Rivals

The direct rivals of Mahindra Thar Roxx are Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha 5-door. It is also an alternative to the likes of Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
