Mahindra Thar ROXX gets over 1.76 lakh bookings in just one hour

Mahindra has announced that its newly launched Thar ROXX received 1,76,218 bookings in just 60 minutes after the booking window opened at 11:00 am today. This huge response highlights the widespread popularity of Thar ROXX, attracting customers from all over the country. Mahindra shares were trading at Rs 3,165 on the NSE between 1pm and 15pm.

While the new Roxx was launched in an Ivory White interior color scheme only, buyers pointed out various maintenance limitations. Especially when used for off-road activities, the original white interior easily collects dirt and is troublesome to clean. Therefore, based on customer demand, a new mocha brown color scheme was added.

Mahindra Roxx Mocha Brown is only available on 4X4 models, and this color scheme is not only found on the leatherette interior, but also extends to the dashboard, center console, door trim, armrests and steering wheel. Therefore, this color option scores high in terms of better maintenance. Pricing remains unchanged for both color options.

Mahindra Thar Roxx – Features in detail

Mahindra Thar Roxx is the 9th SUV in the company’s portfolio and the first SUV in the lifestyle segment. It is available in 7 exterior colors – Everest White, Stealth Black, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey, Deep Forest, Tango Red and Burnt Ocher – depending on the trim level, 6 variants, petrol and diesel engines and 2 transmissions Boxes available. The Thar Roxx RWD is available in six variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3 L, AX5 L and AX7 L. Prices for the RWD start at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) while the 4X4 variant starts at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). .

In terms of overall dimensions, the 5-door Thar Roxx is larger than the 3-door Thar. It features a new front body-coloured grille with 6 horizontal slats, front and rear LED lighting elements, 19-inch wheels, 255-section tires and wheel cladding, thanks to its improved off-road performance.

The interior features several improvements compared to the three-door model. These include a large panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, rear air conditioning vents, armrests and a power driver’s seat.
