Mahindra Thar Roxx gets new Mocha Gray Interiors – White

Mahindra will all update the interior theme of its flagship lifestyle SUV, the Thar Roxx, and introduce new Mocha Gray interior options. Why change it?

When Mahindra launched the Thar Roxx on August 15, 2024, it became the first lifestyle off-road vehicle in India to offer advanced technology interiors – a move setting a new benchmark for the segment. However, the decision to offer ivory white interiors for only 4×2 and 4×4 variants accepted a mixed reaction.

While the white cabin adds a luxury feel, owners and off-road enthusiasts find it difficult to maintain, especially in dusty conditions. Recognizing this feedback, Mahindra launched the Mocha Brown interior theme in October 2024, with its exclusive 4×4 variant, and now the brand takes it further by completely replacing the white interior with a more practical Mocha gray option.

What’s new in Mocha Gray?

The new Mocha grey interior blends darker, more robust tones and modern finishes – More suitable for real-life use. The cabin continues to offer two-tone dash and door trim, with updated interiors and contrast-stitched dark shades. This shift not only makes the interior easier to maintain, but also makes it better to stay better with Thar’s patient outdoor role.

Although the visuals of the Mocha Gray variant have not been officially revealed, early dealers showed that it retained the plush of the Thar Roxx while lowering the surface of the early white variant’s easily transparent.

No mechanical changes

Apart from the updated interior, the Thar Roxx remains the same in terms of equipment and powertrain. The SUV continues to offer advanced features such as:

– 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment and dashboard
– Wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay
– Harman Kardon Audio System
– Level 2 ADA, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats and panoramic sunroof

– 2.2 liter turbodiesel with 175 PS and 370 nm

Both engines have manuals or automatic transmissions, while the 4×4 is unique to the diesel version.
