Mahindra Thar Roxx Series 1 is coming up for auction; here are the

Mahindra has announced that it will auction the first car of its newly launched Thar Roxx. Online registration for the car is now open and bidding will begin at 5 pm on September 15 and end at 7 pm on September 16. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a non-profit organization of the winner’s choice. In addition, Mahindra will match the winning bid amount with a donation.

Talking about the auction-exclusive Thar Roxx, the SUV will bear the VIN 0001 badge and a badge with Anand Mahindra’s signature. It will be available in seven colour options: Tango Red, Battleship Grey, Deep Forest, Everest White, Nebula Blue, Burnt Ochre and Stealth Black.

For starters, Mahindra will auction the top-of-the-range AX7L Diesel Automatic 4×4 variant of the 5-door SUV which comes with features like 360-degree camera, automatic parking brake, 6-way powered driver seat, automatic air conditioning, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, two 10.25-inch screens, six airbags and Level 2 ADAS. The model is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 370Nm and 172bhp and is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. It also has four-wheel drive.

Notably, Mahindra auctioned the first three-door Thar in 2020. The winning bid was Rs 11.1 crore, which was donated to the Covid Relief Fund.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Dimensions and Design

The Thar Roxx is 4,428 mm long, 1,870 mm wide and 1,928 mm tall. The wheelbase is 2,850 mm. On the outside, the 5-door model differs from the 3-door model with LED projector headlight design, a new 6-slat grille, an angular C-pillar design, redesigned taillights and two extra doors. Other notable elements include rear door mounted handles, spare wheel located on the tailgate and 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Price

The current price of Mahindra Thar Roxx ranges from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it should be noted that the price of the four-wheel drive model has not been announced yet.
