Mahindra XEV 9e is equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack option, with a cruising range of up to 656 kilometers (ARAI) on a single charge, and an actual cruising range of over 500 kilometers
Mahindra rewrote Indian automotive history with the launch of BE 6 (originally intended to be called BE 6e) and XEV 9e. This is especially true for premium and audiophile products which are gaining popularity in India. Ahead of its official launch and bookings, the XEV 9e has arrived at showrooms in Chandigarh.

It should be noted that Mahindra has only announced the base prices of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, and these vehicles are not yet fully launched. Bookings for these vehicles are expected to take place by January 2025 and even before that, the XEV 9e has arrived at dealer showrooms in Chandigarh, as seen in the auto show video.
In the video, we can see a Mahindra-produced XEV 9e Electric Origin SUV in rich red color parked at a dealership in Chandigarh. This SUV attracts a lot of eyeballs with its huge road presence and unique styling. Even in terms of size, the XEV 9e is the largest Mahindra SUV today.
Pricing starts from Rs 21.90 lakh (Ex-sh) for the base pack one, which is a good price considering all the features and size quotient it offers. Since it’s based on the inherently electric INGLO platform, Mahindra has managed to inject as much passion into this vehicle as it had the chance to design it from scratch.
It is the only rear-wheel drive vehicle in its segment to offer this level of performance. Speaking of, the XEV 9e comes with a 59 kWh or 79 kWh battery pack option. The XEV 9e’s top performance is capped at 285 bhp and 380 Nm. All this performance is achieved through a single electric motor at the rear, capable of accelerating the XEV 9e to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
Full of technology!
In terms of features and creature comforts, the Mahindra XEV 9e packs a punch. On the exterior, we get large LED DRL badging, full LED headlights and fog lights, eye-catching LED full-width taillight signature, flush door handles at the front, alloy wheels up to 20 inches, wide tires, integrated Ambient lighting and more.
Internally, the XEV 9e features a triple-screen layout, a first for a mainstream car in India. It also has a huge head-up display that displays a lot of important information. Interior plastics and upholstery materials create a luxurious feel and high-end appeal. Despite its coupe styling, the XEV 9e has good passenger space.
Other notable features include remote parking, self-parking and Level 2 ADAD. The trunk space reaches 663 liters, which can accommodate most belongings. In addition, the XEV 9e offers a 150L luggage compartment under the hydraulically assisted bonnet. The cruising range after a full charge can reach 656 kilometers (ARAI certification), and Mahindra promises that the actual cruising range can reach more than 500 kilometers when the AC power is turned on.
