
Mahindra & Mahindra’s upcoming all-electric SUV was showcased in concept form in August 2023. The series includes the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09 based on the INGLO skateboard platform. this Production ready Mahindra XUV.e8 (electric XUV700) and BE.05 SUVs will be the first to hit the roads, while the Mahindra XUV.e9 is undergoing extensive testing. The upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 is scheduled to be launched in April 2025 and is targeted at executives looking for a spacious and comfortable cabin along with the practicality of an SUV. Official specifications of the electric car have yet to be announced. However, the XUV.e9 will share the battery pack and electric motor with the XUV.e8 and is expected to be available in December 2024. Later versions may come with an 80kWh battery pack and dual electric motors. Power and range are expected to be approximately 203bhp – 350bhp and 435km – 450km (WLTP cycle) respectively. Reports suggest that the XUV.e9 will only be available with a RWD (rear-wheel drive) system.
Previous spy shots confirmed that the XUV.e9 will feature three connected 12.3-inch displays, as well as a traditional gear lever on the center console and a two-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel. In terms of features, the upcoming Mahindra pure electric SUV is said to come with Level 2 ADAS technology, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, HUD with enhanced navigation features, etc. Additionally, these SUVs will be equipped with a dedicated connected car kit and audio system designed and developed by AR Rahman for electric vehicles.
The soon-to-be-produced Mahindra XUV.e9 will stay true to its concept, similar to Mahindra’s other pure electric SUVs. It will feature a closed front grille with a full-width LED light bar, vertically positioned split headlamps, new alloy wheels, a rear bumper with an integrated license plate, connected LED tail lamps and a rear fascia with the Mahindra logo. bezel.
