Mahindra is expected to launch an electric car based on the XUV700 in India by the end of this year, which may be called the XEV 7e. Before that can happen, however, design sketches of a production-ready model have leaked online from presentation slides, offering a preview of the EV’s interior and exterior. While the overall silhouette is similar to the ICE-powered XUV700, the front end sports a bold new look inspired by the recently launched XEV 9e. It includes inverted L-shaped connected LED daytime running lights, a closed grille and split headlights. Unique alloy wheels accentuate the side profile, enhancing the SUV’s aesthetics while optimizing aerodynamics, increasing efficiency and range. At the rear, the design retains the XUV700’s signature elements with subtle updates that emphasize its electric transformation.
Mahindra XEV 7e: Interior
The XEV 7e is expected to offer a 3-row seating layout with the option of second-row captain’s chairs, depending on the model. It will likely feature a modern two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated “Infinity” logo reminiscent of the XEV 9e, as well as a stylish black and white interior theme.
The XUV700 Electric is also likely to come with a state-of-the-art triple-screen arrangement that may feature a 12.3-inch display for the driver’s dashboard, infotainment system and passenger side view.
