Mahindra XUV700 priced at up to Rs 75K

The price reduction of the XUV700 seems a bit surprising as other automakers announce prices.

The XUV700 is one of the popular Mahindra SUVs, which contributes about 15% to the company’s overall sales. To make it more attractive to potential buyers, Mahindra lowered the price of the highest version of the XUV700 by Rs 75,000. Let’s check out the price reduction.

Mahindra Xuv700 price reduction

Mahindra offers the XUV700 on the MX, AX3, AX5 S, AX5, AX7 and AX7 L trim level. For the selected AX7 version, the price has been reduced by Rs 45,000. These include gasoline automatic 7 seats and diesel automatic 7 seat variants. For the selected AX7 L variant, the price has been reduced by Rs 75,000. These include gasoline automatic 7 seats, diesel manual 7 seats and diesel automatic 7 seat variants.

Prices for the AX7 petrol MT (6-seat and 7-seat) and AX7 diesel MT (6-seat and 7-seat) variants remain the same. The XUV700 petrol MT 7-Seater continues to be offered at Rs 1949 crore. For AX7 petrol MT 6-seat AX7 petrol seats starting at Rs 1969 crore, the same is true for AX7 petrol seats.

Speaking of the price-reduced petrol variant, it can reduce AX7 petrol in 7 seats and AX7 petrol in 6 seats. The new prices are Rs 20.99 lakh and Rs 21.19 lakh respectively. Customers who want the AX7 L can save Rs 75,000 in the 7-seat AX7 L petrol and the 6-seat variant of the AX7 L petrol. Now, these prices are Rs 231.9 lakh and Rs 23.399 crore, respectively.

Diesel AX7, AX7 L – New Price

The XUV700 AX7 diesel MT 7 seats and the AX7 diesel MT 6 seats will continue to be offered at prices of Rs 1999 crore and Rs 2019 lakh respectively. Now, the AX7 diesel engine in the 7-seat and the AX7 diesel engine in the 6-seat variant are now Rs 45,000 cheaper. The new prices are Rs 21.69 crore and Rs 21.89 crore, respectively. The price reduction of Rs 45,000 is also applicable to the 7-seat variant of the AX7 diesel AWD. Rs 22.89 lakh are now available.

Diesel variants with a price reduction of Rs 75,000 include the AX7 L Diesel MT 7-seat, the AX7 L Diesel MT 6-Seater, the AX7 L Diesel in the 7-seat seat, the AX7 L Diesel in the 6-seat seat, and the 7-seat AX7 L Diesel AWD. These variants are now available in the range of Rs 22.24 crore to Rs 24.999 crore.

Device list has not changed

While the price is reduced for some XUV700 variants, there are no cost-cutting measures. The equipment list remains the same. Mahindra’s move to lower the price of the selected XUV700 version seems a bit counterintuitive. Especially in other automakers such as Maruti, Kia, Tata Motors, Honda and Hyundai announced price increases in April. The production costs of the entire automotive industry have been increasing.

One reason for the XUV700 price cut is probably a strong market reaction to Mahindra’s latest electric SUVs – the XEV 9E and 6. The XUV700 will have its own electric version – the XEV 7E. It is expected to be launched later this year. Until then, the lower pricing of the XUV700 will continue to benefit buyers.
