If you’re wondering what 718 horsepower would do for an M2, Manhart has you covered
12 hours ago
The BMW M2 is arguably the best sports car in the brand’s current lineup, a worthy alternative to sports cars like the Porsche Cayman and Mercedes-AMG A45 S. Now, Manhart has made the M2 a car that won’t let you down. Let Porsche and Mercedes die, but maybe scare some legitimate supercars.
BMW’s S58 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine normally delivers 473 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque, but thanks to a carbon fiber air intake, stainless steel exhaust with 200-cell catalytic converters , and either a Manhart MHtronik powerbox or a factory ECU remap, power has been boosted to 718 horsepower. Torque also jumps to 664 lb-ft (900 Nm).

Manhart hasn’t announced any acceleration times for the car, but with power output for a relatively compact sports car, we’re sure the MH2 700 II is an absolute weapon. It’s worth noting that the German tuning company also sells more extreme performance upgrades for the M2 to make it faster, but that’s on a need-to-know basis.
Other modifications available from Manhart include lowering KW springs or a set of KW Variant 4 shocks, which lower the ride height and hopefully improve handling. Brakes are unchanged, but anyone looking to add around 250 extra horses to their M2 would be wise to shop around for a more powerful brake package.
Many carbon fiber parts round out the upgrades. These include carbon fiber inserts on the front fascia, unique side skirts, a carbon fiber bonnet, a new kidney grille, a bespoke rear diffuser and a massive fixed wing. The exterior portion is also decorated with champagne-colored decals. The cabin features a small roll bar, seat covers, carbon fiber trim and Manhart-branded floor mats.
