The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire recently received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP ahead of its launch. The sedan is scheduled to be launched in India on November 11, 2024.
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire has finally made its debut with significant upgrades over its predecessor. The car is currently available for booking on offline and online platforms at a price of Rs 11,000 and the price will be announced on November 11. The updated Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, which replaces the old 1.2-litre 4-cylinder K-series engine. The motor produces 81bhp and 112Nm (a decrease of 8bhp and 2Nm). Transmission options are 5-speed manual and AMT. Let’s discuss how the newly launched Dzire differs from the previous model.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Old Model: Appearance
The overall size and shape haven’t changed much, but the fourth generation now has a unique design, including a bold front bumper, a large grille with multiple horizontal slats, subtle LED headlights with horizontal daytime running lights, Revised fog light housings and prominent shoulder lines. It also features new alloy wheels and Y-shaped LED taillights connected by chrome strips.

The Swift and the new Dzire have the same dashboard layout. However, the latter features a two-tone black and beige cabin theme with faux wood trim on the dashboard, contrasting with the former’s black interior. The engine start button remains in the same position, while the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now located above the front air-conditioning vents.
Although it is not confirmed yet, it is expected that the wireless phone charger in front of the gear lever of the new Dzire will be replaced by the previous cup holder. Other notable features include a single-pane sunroof (first in segment), 360-degree camera (first in segment), 6 airbags (standard), rear parking sensors and electronic stability control (ESC).

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Old Model: Price
With multiple upgrades, the upcoming Dzire is likely to be priced higher than the current Dzire, which is priced between Rs 6.57 lakh and Rs 9.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
