Before landing in India in the first quarter of 2025, the Maruti Suzuki eVX is planned to be launched first in overseas markets including Europe and Japan.
The production version of Maruti Suzuki eVX will make its global debut in January 2025 at the Auto India Global Expo, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from January 17 to 22. The electric SUV was unveiled as a concept car at the 2023 Auto Expo and was unveiled as a production-ready model at the first Indian Auto Expo this year. The car will be launched in Europe first and is now ready to debut on Indian shores as a fully production version. While the Indo-Japanese automaker has not confirmed anything yet, the electric model is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2025. Maruti Suzuki eVX: Exterior and Interior
The production version of the electric SUV is likely to borrow most of the design elements from the concept version, including the closed grille and flat hood. It is also likely to feature square wheel arches, two-piece LED daytime running lights (DRL), shark fin antenna, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and five-spoke alloy wheels. On the interior, the SUV is expected to be equipped with a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, a rotary dial for driving modes, horizontally placed air-conditioning vents and a separate touchscreen infotainment system.
Maruti Suzuki eVX: Powertrain
The eVX is expected to offer two battery options (45kWh and 60kWh) with a range of up to 550 km on a single charge. In addition, it will also have the option of a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system and a single-motor FWD system. The electric SUV will be built on the company’s new skateboard platform and is likely to have a very spacious interior.

Maruti Suzuki eVX: Expected price and market rivals
In India, the eVX is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). It will compete with several models in the electric vehicle segment, including the Mahindra XUV400, Tata Nexon, Tata and Curvv. Although it has not been officially announced, Toyota is likely to launch a facelifted version of the eVX as part of an international collaboration. If the news is true, then the Toyota SUV will debut in India after launching the Donor model (eVX).
