
Maruti Suzuki’s goal is to regain 50% of the market share through its aggressive product strategy. Given the growing demand for green solutions, the Japanese automaker plans to introduce four new BEVS (battery electric vehicles) in fiscal 2030, starting with the E Vitara. this Maruti and VitaraThis is shown at the 2025 Bharat Mobile Show and will be released next month.
The guess suggests that the Maruti Fronx EV can follow an electric Vitara. While automakers are still nervous about the name and details of the upcoming BEV, the series may include an electric iteration of the Eritga MPV. With the Maruti Ertiga EV, automakers may target fleet buyers. The next model in the pipeline could be a small electric vehicle in segment A, positioned as a competitor to the Tata Punch EV, which currently dominates the segment. OEMs such as Hyundai, Renault and Nissan are also planning to introduce small electric vehicles in the coming years.
In the mid-size electric SUV segment, the Maruti E Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric with the Mahindra at 6, the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV. This will be exclusive to premium NEXA, with the expected price of Rs 1.7 lakh for the base version and Rs 22.5 lakh for the high-end version.
