Maruti Suzuki’s total sales were 199,400 units, up 0.98% year-on-year, compared with 197,471 units a year-on-year period
Maruti Suzuki ended in February 2025 with total sales of 199,400 units, up 0.98% year-on-year, compared with 197,471 units a year-on-year. The domestic market sales of passenger and light commercial vehicles were 1,63,501 units, almost the same as the 163,397 units sold in February 2024.
In addition, 10,878 units were provided to other OEMs, marking a growth rate of 111.3% for 5,147 units. However, exports fell by 13.5%, down from 28,927 last year to 25,021 in February this year. SUVs and MPVs remain key growth drivers, contributing 65,033 units, an increase of 6.2% compared to 61,234 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago.
EECO vans recorded 11,493 units, a 5.3% decrease from 12,147 units sold in the same period last year. Overall, domestic passenger car sales reached 160,791 units, an increase of 0.3% from 160,271 units in February last year. The compact car lineup has models like the Baleno, Swift, Wagonr, Dzire, Ignis and Celerio, which earned 72,942 units, an increase of 1.8%.

The mini segments including the Alto and S-Presso fell 30.8%, and sold for 10,226 units compared to 14,782 units last year. Meanwhile, the CIAZ sedan’s growth rate is 128.1%, up from 481 units in February 2024 to 1,097 units this year. However, the Maruti Suzuki will soon insert the plug into it.
By comparison, sales of light commercial vehicles including supercarriers fell 13.3%, with 2,710 units sold, while 3,126 units fell 12 months ago by 13.3%. Including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and OEM supplies, Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic sales were 174,379 units, an increase of 3.5% from 168,544 units in February 2024.

Although exports are lower than last year, they still contributed a lot to the total number of Maruti Suzuki. The company shipped 25,021 units overseas in February 2025, reflecting a 13.5% drop in 28,927 units last year. However, the cumulative export figures for the fiscal year 2024-25 reached 299,617, reflecting a 16.5% increase. Despite the volatility of various segments, Maruti Suzuki remains a major player in the Indian automotive landscape, with total sales of nearly 2 million units in February 2025.
