Maruti Suzuki plans to launch this year for three major SUVs this year E Vitara Electric SUVthe Fronx’s strong hybrid and the 7-seat Grand Vitara. These three models are special in their own way, as the electric Vitara will mark the brand’s debut in the EV space, while the Fronx will feature the Maruti Suzuki’s built-in, which developed a powerful hybrid powertrain. The three-row Maruti Grand Vitara will be a premium 7-seat family SUV for the Indian Japanese automaker, challenging the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
New Maruti 7-Seater Family SUV – What we know so far!
– The new Maruti 7-seat SUV (called the Y17 internally) will surely be longer than its 5-seat siblings. Both models will share platform and design elements. However, some noticeable changes will be made to its exterior, such as slightly modified bumpers, redesigned headlights and taillight clusters, and new alloy wheels.
– In addition to the three-row seating arrangement, the entire cabin layout of the 7-seat Maruti Grand Vitara will be similar to its young siblings. The SUV may be equipped with the same 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitor, leather steering wheel, HUD, wireless phone charger, a 7-inch full digital instrument cluster, panoramic antenna, leather seats, leather seats, hillside landing control, and more.

– One of the largest feature upgrades may come in the form of an ADA (Advanced Driving Assistance System) package.
– The powertrain setup of the new Maruti 7-seat family SUV will be carried from the 5-seat Grand Vitara. The latter is available in the 1.5-liter K15C petrol mild hybrid (103bhp) and the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder Atkinson Cycle Cycle Petrol Engine (115bhp) options. Transmission will also remain the same – i.e. 5-speed MT (slight hybridization only), 6-speed AT (slight hybridization only) and E-CVT (slight hybridization only).
