Maserati MC20 Tributo Modenese: a one-off tribute to Modena
  • Maserati has unveiled the MC20 Tributo Modenese ahead of its Monterey Car Week debut.
  • This coupe is a one-of-a-kind model created to pay tribute to the city of Modena and to highlight the Fuoriserie personalisation programme.
  • Maserati will also use the event to unveil the hardcore MC20 and deliver the first MCXtrema.

The countdown to Monterey Car Week continues as Maserati unveils the MC20 Tributo Modenese, a one-of-a-kind model that, as the name suggests, pays homage to the Italian city of Modena.

Created by the Fuoriserie personalization team, the MC20 Tributo Modenese has a bold, bright and edgy look with a two-tone design that fades from blue to black and vice versa. We can also see the yellow trim and trident motif on the hood. The black wheels contrast with the yellow brake calipers, making the highlights even more prominent.

Maserati has revealed little about the Tributo Modenese, but the standard MC20 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and to a top speed of over 202 mph (325 km/h).

The Tributo Modenese won’t be the only MC20 in California, as the company will also show the MC20 Icona, MC20 Cielo, and an “all-new supercar” based on the model. The latter will debut on August 16, and Maserati says it will be influenced by the GT2 race car. That certainly seems to be the case, as a previous teaser showed off front fender vents, a carbon fiber splitter, and a hood that appears to be inspired by motorsport.

The MCXtrema will also play a major role, as the first customer deliveries will take place at Laguna Seca on August 17. To celebrate the occasion, the company said, “Maserati Chief Test Driver Andrea Bertolini will personally accompany the new owner of the MCXtrema on a test drive and driving briefing. The two will enjoy track time together, with Bertolini personally demonstrating the high-powered V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine before handing over the keys for the first time.”
