MG Motor India has come up with a rather unique way of pricing the Windsor EV. The car retails for Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and the battery can be leased. The cost of the latter depends on your usage. The price has been set at Rs 3.5 per km. So, you only pay according to your consumption. MG estimates that the total cost will be around Rs 5 per km if the running cost is included. Additionally, the carmaker is offering a guaranteed buyback scheme where you can get 60% of the value after three years of usage.

Talking about the Curvv EV, the price of the SUV Coupe starts at Rs 17.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.99 lakh. All the above prices are ex-showroom prices.

The Windsor EV features a stylish split headlight configuration with connected LED daytime running lights, influenced by the Cloud EV design language. Flush door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels give the side profile a sleek and clean look. The charging cap is strategically placed below the side A-pillar for easy access. Other design highlights include a roof spoiler, connected LED taillights, black pillars and large quarter glass. There are four paint options: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige and Turquoise Green.

In addition to its coupe-like shape, the Curvv EV features several eye-catching design elements, including a closed grille with charging port, connected LED daytime running lights with welcome and farewell animations, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic inserts. Available exterior colors include Pure White, Flame Red, Intensive Oxide, Pure Grey, and Virtual Sunrise.

The MG Windsor EV is available in a single battery pack version. It is equipped with a 38kWh prismatic cell lithium-ion battery. It powers an electric motor that drives the front axle with a maximum power of 134bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. The car can travel 331 km on a single charge. The battery management system (BMS) of the Windsor EV is said to effectively ensure stable battery performance regardless of external temperature. MG says a 50 kW DC charger can fully charge the model in 55 minutes.

The Tata EV is equipped with a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMS) and two battery configurations: 45kWh and 55kWh. The former motor output power is 148bhp, while the latter motor output power is 165bhp. However, the torque of both battery packs is 215Nm. The smaller battery is available for the Accomplished, Creative and Accomplished+ S models, while the larger battery is available for the Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+ and Empowered+ A models. The driving range is 502 kilometers (45kWh version) and 585 kilometers (55kWh version) respectively.

In terms of features, the Windsor offers amenities like a 15.6-inch infotainment system, glass roof, 9-speaker Infinity sound system, leather steering wheel, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity, rear air-conditioning vents, 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, airline lounge seats, 256 multi-color LED ambient lighting, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a power tailgate.

Meanwhile, the electric Curvv’s safety kit includes voice-activated panoramic sunroof, wireless charging pad, front ventilated seats, JBL sound system, 12.3-inch free-floating infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, auto-dimming IRVM (interior rearview mirror), ambient lighting, touch-sensitive air-conditioning panel, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
