Hero 2.5R Xtunt motorcycle: Key details
Hero MotorCorp is steadily expanding its premium motorcycle selection in the Indian market, including models like the Karizma XMR and Mavrick 440. The company is currently looking to launch a new 250cc model. A recent patent leak suggests that one of the bikes will draw inspiration from the Hero 2.5R Xtunt concept showcased at last year’s EICMA.
Previously, a design patent for the Hero Karizma 250 was exposed. The latest design appears to be a topless version of the model, with noticeably sharp and aggressive headlights. The fuel tank also showcases bold lines and shrouds that are consistent with the design of the headlight housing and enhance the overall aesthetics of the bike. The stylish design complements the motorcycle’s split seat layout. It features a low handlebar and footpegs set back for a sporty riding position. Additionally, the bike can be equipped with a radiator grille and an upward-sloping exhaust.
The motorcycle’s eye-catching design is expected to be backed by a new 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is likely to be the same engine used in the Karizma 250. However, the detailed specifications of the engine have not yet been announced. It is important to highlight that the existing Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc engine that outputs a maximum power of 25bhp and a peak torque of 20Nm. Furthermore, the Hero 2.5R Xtunt concept bike appears to use similar components to the Karizma XMR, which may include similarly sized alloy wheels, an inverted front fork and a tubular steel frame.
