Motorola and F1 extend global partnership

Formula 1 has confirmed Lenovo as its global partner, with the tech giant set to become the title sponsor of two Grand Prix races starting with the 2025 season. Lenovo will continue to provide the racing championship with cutting-edge technology products, services and solutions to help enable on-track and remote Grand Prix racing. Under the agreement, Lenovo Group subsidiary Motorola will join F1 as a global smartphone partner. In addition, Lenovo will sponsor two races per season as title sponsor, and Lenovo and Motorola will have additional trackside branding at the events.

As an official partner, Lenovo technology has been an integral part of F1 operations since 2022. Lenovo has been helping F1 deliver a best-in-class broadcast product with its servers, edge devices and on-site high-performance computing (HPC) solutions. Lenovo’s asset recovery service further supports F1’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2030 and reducing emissions as part of a wider sustainability strategy. It helps ensure obsolete computer hardware is recycled in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.

As F1 has seen a recent surge in popularity, companies from many industries are vying to become sponsors and partners of the series. Santander was recently announced as a new official partner to capitalize on F1’s growing popularity in the United States. Santander’s current sponsorship of Ferrari expires at the end of this year and it will join the growing list of F1 partners.
