2024 KTM 250 Duke
The updated 250 Duke has been quietly launched in India, similar to the company’s strategy with the 200 Duke. The new 2024 KTM 250 Duke has added features to keep it competitive with rivals like the Bajaj Dominar 250.
The launch price of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke is Rs 2.41 lakh (Ex-sh), which is a slight increase compared to the model it replaces. The price difference between the old and new models is within a few thousand rupees and depends on the additional features that this updated model brings over its predecessor.
The updated model brings improvements in feature list and equipment, making it a better proposition than before. This could be a good thing to boost sales during the festive season, and it seems to be the same strategy for the just-launched 200 Duke.
In terms of feature upgrades, the updated 2024 KTM 250 Duke comes with the same 5-inch color TFT instrument screen as the 390 Duke and the recent 200 Duke. The instrument screen. The company calls it a bonded glass TFT dashboard, and it supports Bluetooth connectivity and supports apps for music control and navigation.
This display replaces the less complex LCD unit, which also supports navigation. With the addition of this TFT dash, KTM has also provided 4-way menu control on the left hand switchgear. Apart from this, the updated 250 Duke comes with the same LED DRLs as the larger 390 Duke, which adds to the appeal of its design for buyers.
What else does it get?
Apart from these updates mentioned above, there don’t seem to be any other changes to the motorcycle. KTM left the rest of the components as-is. So, we still get all the goodies like the USD telescopic forks, offset mono-shock suspension setup, 17-inch alloy wheels, nice banana swingarm, underbody exhaust and dual-channel ABS at both ends. Single disc brake, among other things.
The powertrain is the same as before, using a 248cc DOHC 4V single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 29.5 bhp of peak power and 25 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and slip and assist clutches.
