The new BMW M2 is available in India from today, priced at Rs 103 crore CBU (ex-showroom).
Want a two-door, four-seat high-performance sports car that can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds? The BMW M2 has you covered. The new 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line engine develops an additional 20 hp, 480 hp at 6,250 rpm, and 550 Nm of torque with the manual gearbox or between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm with the automatic gearbox. It outputs 600 Nm of torque. The M Driver’s Package also increases the car’s electronically limited speed from 250 km/h to 285 km/h.
The automatic BMW M2 is equipped with the impressive eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. Additionally, you get three driving modes: Efficiency, Sport and Sport Plus. The M2 reduces the 0-100 km/h acceleration time by 0.1 seconds. The M2’s 0-200 km/h acceleration time has also been improved, shortening by 0.6 seconds, with the manual completing the sprint in 13.7 seconds and the automatic in just 12.9 seconds.
The BMW M2 features the M frameless kidney grille, giving it a more aggressive look. The car is available in four exciting new colors: Portimao Blue, Fiery Red, Sao Paulo Yellow and Skyscraper Grey. Additionally, the M2 now comes standard with black exhaust tailpipes. It also comes with an M Alcantara steering wheel, giving it a sporty feel. The car is equipped with BMW iDrive with OS 8.5, which receives all inputs from all occupants in the form of touch, gestures and voice.
Safety doesn’t take a back seat either, as the BMW M2 comes with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which includes Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Braking Control (DBC), dry braking function and active M differential.
