With multiple new design elements and rugged attributes, New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler variant is likely to make its debut at EICMA 2024
Hero MotoCorp has a busy schedule surrounding the 2024 EICMA Show. The company will showcase 4 new products at the major event. While there are speculations about new variants of Karizma 250, Xtreme 250R, Xpulse 210 and Vida, Hero has officially confirmed that a new variant of Mavrick 440 is coming soon.
Now, we have got our hands on the leaked patent design of this upcoming motorcycle. From the looks of it, Hero Motocorp is formulating a garbled version of the Mavrick 440, which is aimed at tapping into the rising interest among motorcycle enthusiasts looking for an off-road flavor. Let’s take a look at the design changes.
Mavrick 440 crawler variants
The Hero and Harley-Davidson partnership has high sales expectations for the jointly developed 440 platform. However, sales are still dominated by the Royal Enfield Camp, consisting of the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450. While Hero’s Xpulse 440 is still a long way off, the company intends to bridge the gap with the Mavrick 440’s Incest variant.
Design-wise, Hero’s new Mavrick 440 Scrambler variant is more attractive than the regular product it’s based on. The new motorcycle has a number of new design elements that successfully give it a more rugged and macho look that its target audience is likely to appreciate.
For starters, we get a new fly screen and forks that change up the design. It must be noted that this motorcycle is still sprung by RSU telescopic forks, not USD like its Harley-Davidson siblings. The new handlebars feature cross braces and we can also see a new alloy wheel design that also gets a two-tone effect.
The fuel tank was carried over, but the tank shroud received a new pattern with a rugged vibe. Even the side body panels are new. The Mavrick 440 crambler variant looks wider and flatter on the seat. Additionally, there is a new grab rail and rear section, with turn indicators flanking the taillights. If you’re going for a tail approach, this new implementation should be friendlier.
Solid elements!
Aesthetics aside, the Mavrick 440 crawler variant appears to be quite patient. This motorcycle adds a new endurance guard that adds a lot of features and protection. Speaking of protection, there is also a bash plate, which can be made of metal.
While not seen in these leaked design patents, we’re hoping for dual-sport tires to complete the rugged look. The weight and price of the new motorcycle will increase. The engine is likely to be the same, a 440cc single-cylinder oil-cooled motor with 27 Bhp and 36 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
