New Honda CB300F Flex fuel bike priced at Rs 1.70 lakh

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched India’s first 300cc flex-fuel motorcycle – the 2024 Honda CB300F Flex-Fuel. The bike is available in a single variant and in two color options – Pad Axle Gray Metallic and Sport Red. The flex-fuel bike is priced at Rs 1,70,000 (ex-showroom) and can be booked at authorized Honda Big Wing dealers across the country.

As the name suggests, the new 2024 Honda CB300F flex-fuel bike is capable of running on E85 fuel, which is essentially a blend of up to 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. This model is equipped with a 293.52cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that can run on E85 fuel. Its power and torque outputs are 24.8PS at 7,500rpm and 25.9Nm at 5,500rpm respectively.

The new flex-fuel version has slightly less power and torque than the regular petrol-powered CB300F. For transmission duties, the bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip assist clutch. A “smart ethanol indicator” notifies the rider if the ethanol content in the gasoline exceeds 85%.

There are no other changes to its design and functionality. The new 2024 Honda CB300F flex-fuel bike retains the same full LED lighting system, graphic raised fuel tank, LCD instrument panel and traction control system. Similar to the regular petrol version, the flex-fuel CB300F is equipped with gold-plated inverted forks and five-level adjustable monotube shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by 276 mm front discs and 220 mm rear discs, assisted by dual-channel ABS.

As of now, the new Honda CB300F flex fuel does not have any direct competitors in the market. Its regular petrol-powered version competes with the KTM Duke 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250. Two-wheeler manufacturers such as TVS, Suzuki and Royal Enfield are also developing flex-fuel motorcycles thanks to the government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
