More OEMs are exploring this space and coming up with unique designs, Honda just launched their N-Box Joy with some unique design elements that transforms into a small camper on wheels that you can take with you It goes most places brilliantly because it has 4WD capability.

N-Box Joy is an MPV with a unique appearance and an extremely small footprint. Currently, the third-generation Honda N-Box is 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, 1,815 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. This makes it roughly the same size as the Maruti WagonR sold in India. As the name suggests, it looks like a box on wheels with a lot of space inside.

Honda N-Box Joy MPV has just been launched and is priced at 1,844,700 yen, which is approximately Rs. 1.07 million. The main competitors are Suzuki Spacia Gear, Suzuki Hustler Tough Wild, Daihatsu Tanto FunCross and Mitsubishi Delica Mini.

Following the launch of the third-generation N-Box last year, Honda has just launched the Joy version of the N-Box with a unique interior design. First, the N-Box Joy comes with a dedicated bumper with a black grille. The Joy version has more body cladding and also comes with retro-style wheels for a rugged appeal.

Potential buyers can explore accessories to personalize their N-Box Joy, such as auxiliary LEDs on the bumper, decals, roof racks, spoilers and wheel options. Inside, the N-Box Joy features a dedicated waterproof interior and flat-folding rear seats, freeing up plenty of space for a small bed area.

The N-Box Joy is also suitable for campers, allowing buyers to incorporate elements such as hooks, nets, awnings, foldable tables and chairs into a proper camping setup. Sliding doors allow easy entry and exit. Otherwise, the rest of the cabin is the same as the regular N-Box, including the same 9-inch infotainment screen.

What does it gain?

The Honda N-Box Joy has a naturally aspirated or turbocharged 658cc 3-cylinder engine under the hood. The former has 58 horsepower and the latter has 64 horsepower, both equipped with CVT transmissions. Honda offers 2WD and 4WD options with N-Box Joy, unlocking even more versatility with this Kei car.

While 90% of SUVs sold in India have a front-wheel drive layout, the situation in Japan is different. Here, small Kei cars with tiny engines also have four-wheel drive, making them more capable off-road. Many of these vehicles are also lifestyle-oriented. Honda’s N-Box is such a model, especially the new Joy version.
