Kia has relaunched the Carnival in India as an updated fourth-generation model. Priced at Rs 63.90 lakh ex-showroom, the luxury MPV arrives in India in completely built-up (CBU) form before eventually moving to the completely knocked-down (CKD) route. Bookings for the upgraded luxury MPV started on September 16. In just 24 hours, the new Carnival received more than 1,822 bookings, setting another record high. The next-generation product is available in Limousine and Limousine Plus models at a nominal price of Rs 2 lakh. Customers can book the car through Kia’s authorized dealers in India or the brand’s official website. Along with this, the company also launched the EV9 SUV and Carnival, priced at Rs 130 crore (ex-showroom).

New Kia Carnival: Dimensions and design
In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new Carnival including the roof rails are 5,155mm, 1,995mm, and 1,775mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3,090mm. The 2024 Fiesta changes significantly from its predecessor, adopting a striking SUV-style design. The front now features a wider, more prominent grille flanked by vertically stacked LED headlights and unique L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs). The car comes with 18-inch alloy wheels.
Additionally, cladding on the sides gives the Kia Carnival a rugged look, a departure from its more traditional wagon-like appearance. At the rear, the model incorporates Kia’s signature modern elements and connected LED taillights, reflecting the design language of the brand’s latest models. There are two paint options: Glacier White Pearl or Fusion Black.
New Kia Carnival: Interior layout and features
In terms of interior, the Kia model adopts a 2+2+3 7-seat layout. The cabin combines modern technology with high-quality materials. Interior themes vary by model: base Limousine trim has a dark blue and gray color scheme, while Limousine Plus models have a brown and black theme.
In terms of amenities, the Carnival has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 11-inch head-up display (HUD), a 12.3-inch digital driver display, connected car technology, two single power sunroofs, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, power ventilated first- and second-row seats, power sliding doors, wireless phone charging and three-zone climate control.
The new Fiesta also comes with a rich feature package including all-wheel disc brakes, front and rear parking brakes, eight airbags, 360-degree camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and ABS with EBD. Additionally, the Level 2 ADAS suite includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance and lane-keep assist.
New Kia Carnival: Powertrain setup
Talking about the mechanicals, Kia will offer only one powertrain option in the Indian market. Like its predecessor, the new Fiesta will continue to be powered by the Smartstream 2.2-liter four-cylinder CRDi turbodiesel engine. The unit churns out a maximum power of 190bhp and a peak torque of 441Nm. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Meanwhile, global-spec models come with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine.

New Kia Carnival: Rivals
Carnival does not have any direct competitors in our market. However, this luxury MPV will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Invicto, Toyota Innova Hycross, MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
