The Kia EV3, the brand’s highly anticipated compact electric SUV, has arrived in Ireland.
The new EV3 is built on a purpose-built electric vehicle platform and combines eye-catching design with a spacious interior and large-car technology.
It will be available in two different battery sizes, with the largest offering a range of 605 kilometers on a single charge. Fast charging means the EV3 can be charged from 10% to 80% in 29-31 minutes.
Kia promises class-leading interior space. It’s the widest car in its class and has the same wheelbase as the brand’s best-selling Sportage. There’s also a roomy 460-litre boot and a small storage compartment under the hood.
Prices start at €36,790 after funding for the Earth 2 58.3 kWh, with a range of up to 436 kilometers. This model, with a larger battery, costs €40,350 and comes with standard equipment such as heated front seats and steering wheel, dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless smartphone charging, LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Earth 3 only comes with a larger battery and starts at €42,840, while the GT Line starts at €47,190.
Kia Ireland will offer the EV3 in seven exterior colours, including Transparent White, Snow White Metallic, Ivory Silver, Shale Grey, Frost Blue, Pearl Black and Aventurine Green unique to the model.
The EV3 follows in the footsteps of Kia’s award-winning EV6 and EV9, which recently won Ireland’s Large SUV of the Year title.
Kia has been doing well in the Irish market. It is currently the fifth-best-selling brand here, with a 7.6% share of the new car market.
The brand has been selling electric cars since 2014, and so far electric cars such as the Niro and Soul have been successful in the Irish market.
In the second half of 2025, the brand will debut the new EV4 and EV5 as well as a new range of electric light commercial vehicles.
