New Kia Seltos interior spy – startup schedule and details

Kia’s very popular Seltos Midsize SUV will be upgraded in 2026 and is expected to debut in 2026. The second generation model is currently being tested extensively in South Korea. Previous spy images reveal some of its design details, and this time, we see its interior for the first time. It seems that the new Kia Seltos will undergo a comprehensive change inside the cabin, further enhancing its premium appeal.

What we noticed?

The speckled test m has two-tone silver and grey interiors and features contrasting orange inserts. Also striking are brushed aluminum inner door handles, USB charging port near the front passenger seat, storage space behind the front armrests and rear seats with three passenger headrests and an integrated armrest.

We know the appearance details so far:

Previous spy images confirm that the new Kia Seltos will derive some of its design elements from the EV5 sold worldwide. Its front and rear will be revised for its front and rear through a newly designed front grille, revised bumper, dual-tone ORVM, new LED headlights, diamond shear alloy wheels and LED Taillamps.

Hybrid powertrain under consideration:

Interestingly, the 2025 Kia Seltos may be a hybrid approach as automakers are evaluating hybrids in the Indian market. The powerful hybrid powertrain sees it as an alternative to diesel engines, which will require significant and expensive upgrades to meet future emission standards. Kia reportedly plans to electrify existing 1.2L and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engines on the Indian market.

The South Korean automaker has already sold powerful hybrid cars on the global market, including a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The new Kia Seltos, Carens MPV and the upcoming model below 4 meters may be the first beneficiaries of such a powerful hybrid powertrain in India. The 2025 Kia Seltos will also retain existing powertrain options, including 1.5-liter petrol and 1.5-liter turbodiesel engines, offering 115bhp, 144nm and 116bhp, respectively, and 250nm, respectively.
