New Maruti Suzuki Dzire to be launched in India on November 11

After months of speculation, Maruti Suzuki has finally confirmed the launch date of the fourth-generation Dzire sedan. The updated sedan from the Japanese carmaker’s Indian arm will arrive in our markets within two weeks. The car will be launched on November 11, and to make your wait for that date easier, here’s a closer look at the powertrain, design, and features.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be based on the new Swift hatchback and will be powered by the Z-series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. It remains to be seen how much power and torque the sedan will produce, but how much more power and torque the Swift can produce using the same engine – 80bhp at 5,700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to offer the CNG-powered Dzire, albeit at a later stage. At launch, the new-gen Dzire is likely to come with a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional 5-speed AMT.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Design

According to the leaked images, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire will have different design elements to make it stand out from the Swift. These include a wider grille with horizontal slats, slimmer LED headlights, a sportier front bumper, redesigned LED taillights, a trunk lid integrated spoiler, a shark fin antenna and a Set of new alloy wheels. More angular body creases will be another differentiator.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Features

We expect the cabin design and layout to be similar to the Swift, but with different colors. Other expected features include electric sunroof (segment-first), floating touchscreen infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), analog instrument cluster, new console for air conditioning functions, two-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera and cruise control.
