New Maruti Suzuki Dzire unveiled, equipped with LED headlights,

Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth generation Dzire in India with new features, powertrain and design. The subcompact car is available in four models (LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+) and is powered by the same three-cylinder Z-series engine as the next-generation Swift launched in May. The sedan is currently open for booking with a small deposit of Rs 11,000 and the price will be announced on November 11. Here’s everything you need to know about Maruti Suzuki’s popular subcompact sedan, which has received a substantial facelift since 2019.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Powertrain

The 1.2-liter three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine on the Dzire produces a maximum power of 80 hp and a peak torque of 112 Nm. It can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox. Similar to the Swift hatchback, the new Dzire is expected to come with a CNG powertrain.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Exteriors

The fourth incarnation of Dzire sports a unique design. The front end is completely different from the previous model and bears no resemblance to the new-generation Swift on which it is based. The headlights are now sleek, with black bezels and multiple crystal-like elements, while the hood is flat with small creases at the corners. The larger hexagonal grille has six horizontal slats with the Suzuki logo displayed prominently in the middle of the top slat, which is covered in chrome and piano black. While the silhouette of the new Dzire is similar to its predecessor, the shoulder line is more pronounced. The vehicle now comes with new alloy wheels, with the most expensive models featuring a diamond-cut pattern. The rear of the subcompact sedan features redesigned LED taillights with triangular inlays and clearly visible chrome strips.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Interiors and features

Barring some stylistic revisions and amenities, the interior of the new Dzire is largely similar to that of the hatchback, with features like multi-function steering wheel, analogue gauges, HVAC controls and AC vents. The 9-inch Smartplay Pro Plus unit offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as other connected car features. Other notable features include electric sunroof (a first for Dzire), wireless charging, automatic climate control, engine start/stop button, ABS with EBD, cruise control, six airbags, 360-degree camera and three-way camera. Click seat belt.
