The Triangle star has just revealed the latest iteration of the CLA sedan. This is Merc’s Swoopy and stylish small sedan, located under the C-Class. The latest iteration size has grown since its inception and is unveiled in a hybrid and all-electric version for the first time. Let’s take a look at new things.
New Mercedes CLA is revealed
CLA was once the most affordable sedan for MERC in India, and the position has been appointed as a Class A luxury sedan. The company has not mentioned whether it will launch a CLA in India. Looking at its curved design, we hope Mercedes will take it to our shores.
It has a new design language while following the spirit of the original CLA. We’re talking about swings and slowing lines, stylish, stylish appeal, sloping roof lines, frameless windows and unquestionably the overall design and silhouette. With the new model, we also get flush door handles.
Fascia is very familiar with the latest Mercedes Benz Model C sedan, especially the barbecue design. However, we now get new LED headlights that connect to the design flowing on their grill. The lower grill and aggressive air intakes are sporty. In the CLA EV, we can see the grill and the Mercedes logo illuminated by LEDs.
The side profile features stylish alloy wheels, ranging in size from 17-inch to 19-inch. At the rear we have connected LED taillights with animated patterns. The LED taillight signature is the signature of the Mercedes logo, which is a nice touch. There is also a scatterer with a black sheen. The overall design is close to the concept version displayed not long ago.
Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz CLA has acquired the company’s latest technology. The dash layout is inspired by EQE and EQS models with SuperScreen settings with a 14.6-inch central infotainment screen, a 14-inch passenger display, and a 10.25-inch instrument screen. Plush seats, premium materials, premium materials and panoramic sunroof are significant properties.
Specifications and powertrain
New CLAs have grown in dimensions. It has a length of 4,723 mm, a width of 1,855 mm, a height of 1,468 mm and a length of 2,790 mm. These dimensions are 34mm long and 25mm wide, with a longer wheelbase of 61mm. The Mercedes CLA electric version comes with a larger battery (350 4matic with EQ technology) weighs 2,135 kg, which is heavier than the base S-Class.
The startup space is 405L, and there is also a 101-liter fully electric version. Speaking of which, the new Mercedes CLA gets multiple powertrain options. The base hybrid variant comes with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine and a mild 48V hybrid setup consisting of a 27 bhp motor, a 1.3 kWh battery and an 8-speed DCT.
The fully electric model is available in two configurations. The CLA 250+ has EQ technology in the single motor RWD, 268 bhp, 335 nm and 792 km range. Then we have the CLA 350 4matic, which has a dual-motor AWD layout with peak power of 350 bhp and 515 nm of peak torque and a 771 km range. The 800V EV architecture also supports 320 KW DC fast charging.
