
Nissan plans to launch two new SUVs and a mass-market electric vehicle in the Indian market by the end of 2026. The upcoming Nissan SUV will be basically a rebranded version of the third-generation Renault Duster and 7-seater Duster, with different design languages. If the report can be trusted, the new Nissan SUV will be positioned as a premium product, not its donor siblings. It will have More features on board Instead of the new duster, this will also make it slightly more expensive.
The new Nissan SUV will compete with other midsize SUVs, including the Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Toyota Hyryder.

Expected engine options:
In India, the upcoming new Nissan SUV will be built on a CMF-B modular building and will be equipped with a 1.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine borrowed from Magnite. The automaker also has access to a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with mild hybrid technology and a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine. There is also 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline on the card.
Design details:
The overall design of the new Nissan SUV may be inspired by the Magnite. It may have Y-shaped headlights with DRL and Y-shaped LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, C-pillar integrated rear door handles, and plastic cladding on wheel arches.
Expected release schedule:
The automaker has not confirmed a release schedule yet, but media reports suggest that the upcoming Nissan SUV could be available in 2026.
