Specs and Features

Telescopic front brake is a common feature in this segment, as is a single-shock unit on the rear. All scooters come with alloy wheels on the top variants, while the base variants come with steel wheels. The New Jupiter has an advantage in this regard as it is the only scooter to come with 12-inch wheels at both ends. The Activa comes with a 12-inch wheel only at the front, while the Pleasure comes with 10-inch wheels at both ends.

TVS Motor offers the option of petal-type disc brakes at the front, which allows for better heat dissipation. As far as features are concerned, Honda is the only car to offer a smart key with the Activa, while Hero is the only one to offer projector LED headlamps and LED trunk lamps. Honda does not offer a digital cluster and Bluetooth connectivity, while Hero does half of that.

The new Jupiter goes a step further and offers a fully digital colour instrument cluster and comes with SmartXonnect connectivity which unlocks turn-by-turn navigation. TVS is the only car to offer LED turn indicators along with a hazard light function that also works with emergency braking. The Hero Pleasure+ does away with the external fuel cap, while Honda does away with the USB charger.

Apart from the smart key, the TVS New Jupiter offers a lot more features than the Honda Activa. However, the convenience of the smart key is unmatched and can be an inducement to choose the Honda Activa. Apart from this, the new TVS Jupiter becomes the most feature-rich and technologically sophisticated model with the new generation engine and platform.
