New Jeep Meridian facelift gets updates on connectivity, ADAS, technology package and off-road capabilities
Ahead of the launch, bookings for the 2025 Jeep Meridian facelift are open for a nominal price of Rs 50,000. The facelift focuses on functional updates, although some cosmetic touch-ups are also part of the equation. The updated 2025 Jeep Meridian will continue to compete with rivals such as Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster.
2025 Jeep Meridian – What’s New?
One of the major changes is the availability of a 5-seat option. This is the first time the Meridian is available in both 5-seat and 7-seat forms. It helps Meridian target a larger user base. With a 5-seat version, the Jeep Meridian may also start at a lower price. The price range of the upcoming model is Rs 31.23 lakh to Rs 39.83 lakh.
Visually, the front fascia gets some minor tweaks. While the slatted grille design remains largely unchanged, the honeycomb grid houses chrome studs. It helps enhance the overall look and feel. Other than that, there aren’t any major changes on the front.
The side profile is also roughly the same as before. The only exception are the new alloy wheels. Features that have been retained include the traditional body-coloured door handles, squared wheel arches, thick body cladding and roof rails. The rear profile will remain largely unchanged.
On the interior, the three-layer dashboard of the 2025 Jeep Meridian facelift is finished in gray. In comparison, the outgoing model has a beige dashboard. Another change is that the dashboard gets a copper finish, replacing the chrome strip found in the outgoing model. Features retained include a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The Jeep Meridian comes with ventilated front seats, a wireless charger and a 9-speaker Alpine sound system.
Enhance security and connectivity
The main upgrade of the 2025 Jeep Meridian facelift is the ADAS package. Some of the key ADAS features include autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, the Meridian facelift will now offer more than 70 safety features. Even the upcoming model comes with comprehensive safety features. It includes electronic parking brake, electronic stability control, all-speed traction control, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist and reverse parking sensors and camera.
Through Meridian’s revamp, users will be able to use more connectivity features. Powered by the Uconnect platform, more than 30 connectivity and remote capabilities have been added. Some of the key features include remote engine start, geo-fencing, air conditioning pre-conditioning, Alexa home-to-SUV control and remote vehicle monitoring. Many connected features can be accessed via voice commands.
2025 Jeep Meridian facelift – Performance
The Meridian facelift will come with a 9-speed automatic transmission option. The 6-speed manual transmission will continue to be used. The engine will be the same 2.0-litre diesel producing 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Jeep is considering equipping the India-spec Compass with a petrol engine, which could also be launched with the Meridian. However, this is unlikely to happen when Meridian facelift products are launched. The 2025 Jeep Meridian will continue to be available in 4×2 and 4×4 formats.
