One-Bedroom Suite, Benjamin Royal Sonesta Hotel

One of New York City’s iconic luxury boutique hotels, Benjamin Royal Sonesta Hotel New Yorkpresenting the first stage of comprehensive transformation. This phase updated the hotel, adding new public spaces and refurbished guest rooms, and introduced the brand new Beverly Suites.

The hotel opened in 1927 as The Beverly Hotel and immediately gained renown for its 26-story Neo-Romanesque architecture. It has been immortalized in the works of famous artists, such as Georgia O’Keeffe’s “New York Nights,” which depicts the hotel and its iconic rosette that sits atop the building. In 2017, New York City designated the hotel an official landmark.

The new design draws inspiration from the building’s history, taking inspiration from the story of its two protagonists, “Benjamin” and “Beverly”. Masculine architectural elements such as bold lines and modern details such as warm woods and rich leathers are balanced with feminine elements such as gilded curves, intricate patterns and a muted color palette. The mascot, Oscar the “King of New York,” is reflected throughout the building. From guest rooms to public spaces, warm walnut tones, herringbone floorboards and light wall coverings create a classic, timeless feel. From fashion-inspired pieces on the headboard to an urban window collection in the suite’s living room, featured artwork reflects Manhattan culture.

Business Conference features 5,831 square feet of meeting and event space. The Work Suite is a novel multi-zone space that blends traditional and co-working elements with hotel amenities to provide business travelers with a refined yet relaxed atmosphere suitable for diverse work and collaboration styles. Future phases of the renovation will introduce new signature food and beverage concepts as well as additional amenities.
