CHICAGO — Newtopia Now, presented by Informa’s New Hope Network, held August 25-28 at the Colorado Convention Center, attracted more than 7,000 attendees, including more than 4,000 registered buyers, and 560 exhibiting companies, including 180 first-time trade show participants.
The show aims to reimagine the traditional trade show by focusing on purposeful exploration and authentic connections, which helped drive sales strategies for the inaugural show.
Newtopia Now aims to provide an immersive experience, foster deep connections, and provide a platform for emerging brands and product innovation. To achieve this goal, the show has carefully curated four communities. The Regenerate community showcases sustainability and environmental impact, while the Glow community emphasizes conscious beauty and holistic wellness. The Thrive community explores the future of human health, while the Represent community celebrates diverse founders and multicultural products.
Newtopia launches a new sales model
To best meet attendees’ event needs, Newtopia Now has launched a new sales model that includes booth provision and branding opportunities.
“Retailers say the primary reason they attend shows is to discover new products, followed by the opportunity to build new relationships,” said Alexandra Wurster, VP of Sales for Natural Products Expo and Newtopia. “We created Newtopia Now with these top priorities in mind. Our packages include a turnkey booth setup that not only provides a unified look across the show floor, but also allows our brands to focus on other important pre-show activities, such as matchmaking and event promotion.”
The sales model features packages that include turnkey booth solutions and setups that not only provide a unified look for the showroom, but also allow brands to focus on matchmaking and event promotion – both critical pre-show activities.
Danica Cullins, EVP Health & Nutrition at Informa Markets, said: “To increase brand awareness, each package includes AI matchmaking and access to our online marketplace ‘Beacon’, enabling brands to showcase their products in advance. This helps retailers plan their visits to Newtopia Now more effectively. In addition, we offer a custom matchmaking service for invited buyers to arrange live meetings between them and participating brands.”

Social and one-on-one meetings
Newtopia Now also hosted speed networking sessions and one-on-one meetings, all curated by the show’s matchmaking program, Conscious Connections, which pairs retailers and investors with emerging businesses. The response to these packages and features was overwhelmingly positive, with more than 2,400 on-site meetings.
The inaugural show also introduced a live marketplace focused on early product discovery. The marketplace gives retailers the opportunity to explore products before exploring the more curated showrooms. Once on the showrooms, buyers can easily find the categories they want.
