Kia Seltos is one of the most successful mid-size SUVs in India and comes with a host of first-class facilities
Recently, the next-generation Kia Seltos was spotted and is expected to be launched in the domestic market in the coming months. Seltos is arguably the most feature-packed product in its class. The South Korean carmaker is the fastest company in India to reach the 1 million unit (one million unit) sales milestone. If exports are included, the number soars to more than 1.3 million (1.3 million). Clearly, the carmaker understands the mindset of its Indian customers. This is because its parent company, Hyundai Motor Group, has been present in the country for more than 26 years. Let’s take a look at what the new Seltos looks like.
Next-gen Kia Seltos to be launched next year
Details of the case come from Namascar Motors on YouTube. The video captures the heavily camouflaged SUV driving around what appears to be the streets of its native market, South Korea. Despite the cover, we were still able to deduce some design elements. At the front, it gets a new headlight design and a refreshed dashboard. It still comes with radar confirming ADAS functionality. The sides feature new-age two-tone alloy wheels that borrow from the chunky wheel arches of the latest international Kia EVs. In addition to this, we also see faux roof rails and black side pillars.
Interestingly, the rear looks quite wide. However, this is due to disguise. We can experience stylish LED taillights with a C-shaped pattern. Perhaps, these will be connected by a stylish LED light strip, a common design component in modern cars. In addition, there is a sturdy skid plate under the rear bumper to enhance sportiness. Inside, we see premium upholstery including elegant headrests, chrome/metal door handles and a dual-tone interior color theme. All in all, it continues to be a vehicle that excels at being an affordable luxury car. More details will emerge in the coming weeks.
my opinion
The next-generation Kia Seltos will be launched in South Korea in the coming months, followed by international markets. It remains to be seen when we will experience this in India. But to be fair, the existing models on our market are still relatively new. Therefore, we don’t need an updated version yet. Still, it’s good to know that a next-gen version is coming soon.
