Nissan Magnite Facelift India launch on October 4: Top 5

Nissan is gearing up to launch the Magnite facelift in India on October 4, 2024. In its new-gen avatar, the subcompact SUV Magnite is likely to include visual upgrades such as revised headlights, redesigned bumpers and new color options. According to the official teaser, it will feature a hexagonal mesh grille (possibly larger), upgraded taillights with LED lighting elements, and new alloy wheels. However, the overall silhouette is the same.

Inside, the compact SUV is expected to feature premium materials and an upgraded infotainment system with a larger touchscreen. While many official details are still unknown, we expect Nissan to incorporate highly anticipated new features into its vehicles to keep up with increasing competition. Here are the top five features the new Nissan Magnite is expected to have over its predecessor.

Auto-dimming IRVM

Current models have manual day/night IRVM. However, after the update, we might expect Nissan to equip its SUV with auto-dimming IRVMs (interior rear view mirrors), a feature that many mass-market vehicles already have.

Larger touchscreen and driver display

The current Nissan small SUV comes with an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, while its Geza version comes with a larger 9-inch unit. Although it’s not confirmed yet, customers can expect the updated Magnite to also come with a larger 9-inch screen as standard on higher-spec models.

The 7-inch semi-digital driver display on the current model is also expected to be replaced with a larger display.

Ventilated front seats

Another feature that the new Magnite may come with is ventilated seats. Interestingly, some of the SUV’s rivals, such as the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon, already have this feature.

Six airbags (standard)

The new Magnite comes standard with 6 airbags to improve safety. Current-spec models come with dual airbags.

skylight

One of the most popular features that current buyers are looking for are skylights. Therefore, we expect Nissan to offer a single-pane sunroof on the new Magnite. Many Magnite competitors offer this feature.

Nissan Magnite facelift: powertrain

For now, it has been confirmed, but the updated SUV is expected to come with the same 1.0-litre turbocharged and 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engines. The former produces 100bhp and 160Nm (152Nm with the CVT), while the latter produces 72bhp and 96Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a five-speed manual gearbox or AMT.
