– Nearly three years after the recall was announced, the Nissan Pathfinder recall finally began.
Pathfinder Hood Recall was first announced in June 2022, with Nissan Pathfinder in the United States and Canada for nearly 360,000 years.
Nissan owners complained about opening their pathfinder while driving, a problem that blames dust and dust pollution.
The Pathfinder owner’s manual directs the owner to inspect and maintain the secondary latch release lever, but the lack of maintenance and accumulated dirt will cause the latch to remain open after being disengaged.
Nissan also said that contaminants can scratch the protective corrosion-resistant coating on the secondary latch, causing bare metal in the pivot joint to corrode.
“The bell crank lever will facilitate the secondary hood latch. In this case, if the bell crank lever remains in an open position, if the primary hood latch is unintentionally released, or the hood is not properly closed after engine service, the secondary hood latch may not close the hood as designed, while the vehicle is in motion.” – Nissan
Nissan Pathfinder pilots may see the hood tremble or hear noise before flying.
The recall of the hood involves the 2013-2016 Nissan Pathfinder, built from June 20, 2012 to July 27, 2016.
Since June 2022, Pathfinder owners have been mailed a temporary recall letter reminding them to maintain the hood latch assembly and let the owner know that they will be contacted when Nissan dealers are ready to repair the Pathfinder hood.
It took Nissan nearly three years to collect the necessary Pathfinder cover replacement parts, but the dealership was finally ready for repairs. This recalls all the memories of the former Nissan Pathfinder Hat.
2013 – 2016 Nissan Pathfinder owners can call 800-867-7669 and ask about Hood Remply Number Number R24C6.
