11,676 units sold: Nissan December 2024 sales/shipments snapshot

Nissan announced total wholesale shipments in December 2024 of 11,676 vehicles. Domestic sales were 2,118 units and exports reached 9,558 units. It marked Nissan’s best-ever December sales, with export sales driving growth.

Nissan’s sales (exports) in December 2024 increased by 72% year-on-year. Export sales increased by 43% compared to November 2024, indicating continued growth momentum in the international market. However, domestic sales declined by 3.54% in 2024 compared to 2023, reflecting a shift in focus towards export-driven growth.

Domestic sales down, exports soar: Nissan’s annual sales split

Nissan’s total sales in 2024 will be 91,184 vehicles, of which 62,175 will be exported. Domestic sales for the year reached 29,009 units. This is in sharp contrast to exports in 2023, when 31,667 units were exported. Year-to-date exports in fiscal 2024 have reached 51,764 vehicles, reflecting Nissan’s strategic focus on global markets.

Since its launch in October 2024, the new Nissan Magnite has received more than 10,000 bookings. Cumulative sales of Nissan Magnite exceed 150,000 units. Its popularity in domestic and international markets has been stable. Within a month of launch, more than 2,700 devices were shipped to South Africa, strengthening its global appeal.

Global footprint continues to grow

International market expansion
Nissan Magnite is now sold in more than 45 international markets. These include launching a left-hand drive version in South Africa, in line with Nissan’s commitment to expanding its global footprint. The expansion supports Nissan’s goals of increasing export volumes and increasing market penetration.
Dealership and infrastructure growth

Nissan has opened new dealerships in Nashik and Gorakhpur as part of its target to establish 300 touch points in India by FY24. The goals of these additions are to improve customer accessibility and strengthen Nissan’s presence.

The inauguration of the Nissan Academy at the alliance’s joint venture plant in Chennai marks an important step in workforce development. The facility focuses on technical training and upskilling of employees and dealer partners, ensuring compliance with Nissan’s global standards.

Nissan Magnite offers over 20 segment-first features and a total of over 55 safety features. These include advanced driver assistance systems to improve customer safety and comfort. Its design and functionality meet the needs of diverse customer segments in multiple markets. Nissan leverages India’s manufacturing capabilities to support its global operations. The left-hand drive market is a key area of ​​focus for future export growth.
