Online generated AI will continue to improve personalized shopping experiences. Other emerging technology developments, from customer service robots that greet shoppers as they enter stores to point-of-sale systems that enable direct transactions with major banks, will transform the in-person experience.

A welcome returning feature is the Foodservice Innovation Zone, an interactive exploration of the technologies that are transforming the industry. Since 2017, the NRF Innovation Lab has showcased the latest retail technologies through immersive and interactive experiences, and this year attendees will also be able to take walking tours of New York City’s cutting-edge retail stores.

“We look forward to building on this momentum by welcoming familiar faces and new players at Retail Asia Pacific and Retail Europe later this year,” Newman said.
