Ola MoveOS 5 unveiled, equipped with ADAS, group navigation and other features

Ola Electric launched the MoveOS 5 software update at its annual launch event at Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu; however, the update will be made available to users in beta form via OTA (over-the-air) update this Diwali. MoveOS 5 is the latest version of Ola’s operating platform that keeps its electric scooters updated. This is said to be the company’s biggest launch to date.

With MoveOS 5, the newly launched Ola Roadster range (Roadster, X and Pro) gets a host of premium features. The X is the entry-level offering in the Roadster range and it introduces Advanced Regeneration, Ola Maps Navigation (turn-by-turn navigation), TPMS alerts, OTA updates, cruise control, DIY mode and riding modes (Sport, Normal, Eco). The motorcycle also gets Digital Key unlocking and Ola Electric App connectivity. Other features include disc brakes and CBS (Combined Braking System). The Roadster X is priced from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1 lakh (introductory price, ex-showroom) and is available in three configurations: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh.

Ola Roadster: MoveOS 5 features

Next up is the Roadster. The Ola Roadster comes with a 7.0-inch TFT display and is powered by MoveOS 5, which offers proximity unlocking, anti-tamper alert, cruise control and party mode, along with AI-powered features like Krutrim AI, road trip planner and smartwatch app. It also comes with disc brakes, advanced single-channel ABS, cornering ABS, brake-by-wire and four riding modes (Super, Sport, Normal and Eco). The Roadster is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh (introductory price, ex-showroom) and is available in three variants (3.5kWh, 4.5kWh and 6kWh).

Ola Roadster Pro: MoveOS 5 features

The most powerful model in the range, the Roadster Pro, has a larger 10.0-inch TFT console and runs MoveOS 5. As the top model, the Pro allows users to use three-level traction control, access control (geofencing, time-fencing, mode-fencing), integrated driving modes (race, city, rain, off-road) and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Advanced track functions (including race mode, anti-wheelie and stoppie mode) are also part of the new software update.

The Ola Roadster Pro is available in two configurations – 8kWh and 16kWh. The former is priced at Rs 2 lakh and the latter at Rs 2.5 lakh (introductory price, ex-showroom). The motorcycle also comes with dual-channel ABS, inverted suspension and four riding modes (Super, Sport, Normal and Eco).
