Accidents happen on the roads. On an average, hundreds of accidents happen every day. Most of the time, accidents are caused by negligence of the driver or others. We recently came across an accident where a white Mahindra Scorpio lost control and hit several cars parked on the roadside.
The video of this tragic accident is doing the rounds on various social media platforms and news portals. The accident took place in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. In the video, we see a Mahindra Scorpio that was parked on the roadside moving forward. While moving forward, it hit a car that was parked on the right side of the road. The driver might have panicked, which led to him losing control of the vehicle.
It could also be that the driver was inexperienced and was frightened after the first crash. After hitting the parked vehicle, the Scorpio drove onto the road and continued to drive in the wrong direction.
It hit another vehicle that was traveling on the road. The SUV was damaged, but the vehicle did not stop. The Scorpio turned around and hit another car that was parked on the opposite side of the road.
The SUV also picked up speed at this point, turning again and hitting a second passing vehicle. The SUV caused chaos on the road, with people running in all directions. After hitting multiple vehicles, the Scorpio driver finally managed to stop the car near a gas station.
At that point, the people at the accident scene were furious with the driver. They approached the vehicle, pulled the driver out and started arguing and beating him. We can see in the video that the driver was brutally beaten by the group of men for endangering the lives of other innocent road users.
Reports mention a vehicle malfunction that caused the driver to lose control. The exact cause of this accident is unknown. It is for these reasons that we always recommend regular vehicle inspections and maintenance. It is said that four people were injured in this accident. It does not appear that anyone was seriously injured.
While we understand the feelings and anger that people may have after witnessing an out-of-control car hitting someone on the road, this is not a sufficient reason to beat or physically attack anyone. If the people gathered at the scene have a problem, it would be best for them to call the police, inform them of the incident, and let them take the necessary action.
They will also investigate whether there was a mechanical problem with the car or if the driver was just lying. It is not clear whether the driver of the Scorpio was injured. If he was, people around him should first check if he is okay and if not, take him to the nearest hospital. Last week, a similar incident took place in Kerala where an out-of-control Volkswagen Polo crashed into six other vehicles.
