Pick of the Day: 2008 Aston Martin Vantage

Today’s selection It’s a 2008 Aston Martin Vantage, for sale on ClassicCars.com from a New York dealer. Before everyone comments on how crazy Aston Martin service costs are, take a moment to look at this amazing car. It’s painted in what’s called Glacier Blue, which is probably one of the most beautiful colors I’ve ever seen on an Aston Martin car. It showcases the design’s stunning Ian Callum lines more than anything else, and pairs perfectly with the beige leather interior.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a car designed to go head-to-head with the Porsche 911. Yes, the 911 bests it in some performance areas, but no Porsche road car has the sophistication or drama of the Aston Vantage. .

The dealer selling the car in Farmingdale, New York, says the car has pristine history, is free of any accidents or defects, and has only 53,358 miles on the odometer. It’s powered by Aston’s hand-built 4.3L V8 engine, which produces 400 horsepower at 7000 rpm thanks to its AM N400 Power Pack airbox and tuning. Additionally, this Vantage comes with a dealer-installed exhaust system rear box to reduce back pressure. Performance stats include 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph, good enough for 2024.

The seller goes on to say that this Vantage has many modern conveniences, including tire pressure monitoring, parking sensors and USB input. The car recently had the Ceramic Pro treatment, with PPF on the front end, rear bumper and rockers. Meticulously maintained, this Aston had a comprehensive major service last year for over $6,000.

I’ve put hundreds of miles on the Aston Martin Vantage and it’s the kind of car you can use every day and make the most mundane of drives feel very special. The combination of the high-quality materials used in the interior, the sound of the engine, and one of the most spectacular instrument clusters in automotive history make driving the Vantage an experience that never gets dull or boring. Of course, other cars have outperformed it these days, but the Aston Martin Vantage is more than just a fast sports car/GT car. It’s the automotive equivalent of a Lange timepiece, while cars like the Porsche 911 are more like a Rolex.

The seller is offering this Aston Martin Vantage in this simply beautiful color combination for an asking price of $49,900. This seems like a great deal for such a special car. The combination of options on this particular car combined with its history make it a car that I personally recommend adding to your garage. If you think this is crazy, do what I suggested at the beginning of the story, take another look at this gorgeous car, and try to convince me that I’m wrong.
