While there’s no clear video of the crash to tell exactly what happened, it looks like the white 911 GT3 RS collided with the rear end of the silver 911. It’s hard to tell exactly which model of 911 the silver car was, but the force of the collision damaged the engine and left it stuck in the middle of the road. We can also see that the car has a set of aftermarket Ohlins shock absorbers, so the owner must be a skilled driver.

In addition to the missing engine, the rear end of the silver 911 had been completely detached, with one of the rear wheels and suspension components severely dislocated. It was a truly sad sight.
The 911 GT3 RS also suffered serious damage and will most likely be sent straight to the scrapyard. The driver’s side front wheel, wheel hub and suspension parts have been torn off, as have the front quarter panels and bumper. It can probably be repaired, but it will cost a lot of money. If no one saves it, some of its parts will probably be stripped down and sold.
Los Angeles Police Department Air Rescue Squadron 5 responded to the crash. Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured in the crash.
