Porsche restores Mulberry Green 993 Turbo in New York design style

Porsche has teamed up with New York fashion brand Aimé Leon Dore to create one of the most beautiful 993 911 Turbos you’ve ever seen. The car is the fifth classic model that Porsche has restored in partnership with Aimé Leon Dore.

When creating this very special 993 Turbo, Porsche used several elements from the Turbo S, including a larger rear spoiler. It also features the Turbo S’s front splitter and a more efficient exhaust system. The paint is a particularly eye-catching mulberry green, which might not look great on the new 911, but it suits the 993 perfectly. Color-matched 18-inch wheels have also been added.

Completing the exterior changes are new gold stickers on the doors, gold rims on the wheels and gold brake calipers.

As gorgeous as the car’s exterior is, the interior is perhaps even more spectacular. Many interior surfaces are now upholstered in dark brown leather, with matching lambswool trim and hard-back seats. Add to that the dark brown carpets and floor mats, the seat backs painted mulberry green, and the Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche logos on the steering wheel and headrests, and the whole environment looks like a very special place worth spending time. It’s a brass gear knob, and an inscription on the threshold reads “A team from outside Queens with the American dream.”

To coincide with the launch of this special 993 Turbo, Aimé Leon Dore has released a capsule collection of apparel, including a leather jacket. The collection will be available in stores and on the Aimé Leon Dore website from November 22nd. Porsche Design USA will also sell many products in the series at the Porsche Design Store in Beverly Hills.

Other classic models restored by Porsche and Design include the classic Porsche 944 Turbo and the Porsche 964-generation 911 Carrera.
