Preview of IMEX America 2024 with Carina, CEO of IMEX Group

LAS VEGAS – Event professionals around the world are preparing to Mandalay Bay Convention Center for IMEX USAwhich will be held from October 8 to 10.

Trade Show Executive In conversation with CEO Carina Bauer IMAX Groupoutlined the show’s expected growth and exciting new features and partnerships, including enhanced offerings for first-time attendees.

Super strong growth

Bauer said IMEX America plans to bring in more new exhibitors than ever this year and increase net square footage. When she spoke to TSE, all key metrics for buyers were flat year-over-year.

“As every trade show organizer knows, it’s not how many buyers register, it’s how many show up,” Ball said. “I feel confident in the numbers we are projecting and excited to get the show off the ground.”

Additionally, IMEX America is seeing growing demand in North America, South America, the Middle East, the Caribbean and China.

“What’s important here is what this demand represents – a strong market with a robust pipeline of new business,” Ball explained. “In some cases, such as China, we are still seeing the effects of the pandemic playing out. While it feels far away to many of us now, China was the last country to open up and attendance at international events was low last year. The post-pandemic rebound has been strong despite inflationary pressures and geopolitical instability. Key trends – such as the need to meet face-to-face, the desire to build face-to-face trust driven by increased use of technology, and of course the trend towards remote working – have all combined to drive strong growth in the sector.”

To attract new buyers, IMEX America has partnered with Invision and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority A special course for senior corporate marketing officers has been launched Allegiant Stadium.

“We launched our first-ever exhibitor webinars and show tours last year and have had a great response. For example, some pre-show webinar attendees even created their own LinkedIn groups and arranged to meet up at the show,” said Bauer. “We hope this will make it easier for people to find their own micro-communities at the show…We want the next generation to know that they have a place at our show; that we’ve listened to their needs and designed an experience just for them.”
