RainFocus™, provider of the next generation event marketing platform, today launched the Event Benchmark Assessment, a new industry resource for organizations to understand how their events compare to other events of similar size and delivery format. Each year, RainFocus analyzes thousands of events to determine industry benchmarks. Event professionals can now conduct self-guided assessments that compare unique event metrics to those across the industry.
“Events are an extremely valuable resource for zero-party and first-party data that are critical to the success of post-event sales and marketing teams,” said Brian Gates, senior vice president of industry strategy at RainFocus. “For Adobe, Cisco Developing best-in-class event programs with some of the world’s leading and most innovative organizations, including Oracle, has created a wealth of data. We use this data to create resources for event professionals and leaders to help them understand how their events align with industry standards. What success looks like and how to iterate and improve campaigns in the future.”
The benchmarks in the evaluation are divided into three levels based on event size to maximize their relevance to different events. They cover a range of data points throughout the event lifecycle, from registration to post-event survey responses. Event planners can refer to benchmarks throughout the planning process to identify areas for improvement or spark new ideas. They can also refer to them after the event to identify successes not previously considered and further demonstrate ROI to key stakeholders.
Event baseline assessments complement RainFocus’ periodic table of event KPIs. Launched last year, the resource provides event teams with a comprehensive set of 154 metrics to explore new ways to measure event growth, customer behavior and overall business impact. New campaign benchmarking takes KPIs to the next level by comparing results to leading campaign plans, helping teams understand the most successful aspects of campaigns as well as potential areas for improvement.
